The Winter months are quite here in Cape May, but our production team is always up to something! This time last year we welcomed our first concreate fermenting egg to the team, Roe. The 2020 harvest is shaping up to be one good thing that came out of last year, and the concrete fermented white field proves it! Winemaker Mike, Assistant Winemaker Jack and Toby are so pleased with how the first ever concrete fermented CMW wine turned out that we have added 2 more Eggs to the production team.
While Mike and Jack are hard at work making amazing wines, Toby is out there with his hammer building an addition to the barns to house the Eggs. "The Coop" addition is expected to be finished in time for Summer! Keep and eye on our barns during your next visit to see how "The Coop" construction is progressing. We have some very exciting things planned for this room other than making great wines. Better days are ahead!
